PROGRAM DIRECTOR PUBLISHES ARTICLE IN “TEACHING AND LEARNING”

Program Director Vanessa Zerillo recently published the article entitled “In the Name of Action Research” in Teaching and Learning, a journal published by the Brock-Golden Horseshoe Educational Consortium, Hamilton, Ontario (Canada). This particular issue focuses on the process of action research as a proactive and collaborative tool to objectively improve instructional practice and program practice.

TUITION COSTS REMAIN THE SAME

As a “field-based” graduate program for professional educators, we as faculty and administrators continue to travel in order to take our program to many cohort graduate education sites, some in remote and rural areas.  Although a cost, this “convenience” factor continues to be one of the many strengths of this program, as evidenced through our on-going gathering of anecdotal information as well as our final program evaluations.  Even with the ever increasing cost of travel, we are thrilled that we are able to keep the tuition cost the same at $309 per credit for this current academic year.  This is the same as it was during the 2006-2007.

PROGRAM DIRECTOR AND COORDINATOR PUBLISHED

Academic Program Director, Dr. Vanessa Zerillo and Assistant Coordinator, Mark Skelding were asked to contribute chapters to a book on systems theory in education. Along with three (3) other authors the book has now been published by University Press of America. The Contemporary Applications of a Systems Approach to Education:  Models for Effective Reform  is currently available on the University Press website at www.univpress.com as well as on Amazon at www.amazon.com .
